Standardized Testing Prep

About this service

Every year, grade 10 students in Ontario will need to write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.  Passing the OSSLT is a graduation requirement in Ontario, and working with an experienced high school teacher before the big test can help ensure students reach this important milestone with confidence. Educators are familiar with the OSSLT format and teach proven strategies for tasks like opinion writing, multiple-choice questions, and interpreting graphic texts using real test-style materials. This kind of preparation is especially valuable for English language learners or students with learning differences who benefit from a more personalized, supportive approach. With expert guidance from a high school teacher, students develop the skills, confidence, and test-taking strategies needed to pass the OSSLT—avoiding delays, retakes, or the need for the literacy course—and stay on track for graduation.

Special Education Consulting for Families

A special education consultant can support you and your child in many important ways. Consider working with us if your child has an IEP—or needs one—but isn’t making progress, or if you’re not getting clear answers from the school. We can help if you’re overwhelmed by the IEP or IPRC process, confused by paperwork or school jargon, or if communication with the school has broken down. If you feel the school isn’t doing enough or doesn’t fully understand your child’s needs, we’re here to advocate and guide you. Sometimes, families simply need clarity and peace of mind—and that’s exactly what we provide
